Ruskinland by Andrew Hill
The life of John Ruskin
Part of Off the Shelf
26 Oct 2019 19:00
Andrew Hill’s book Ruskinland retraces Ruskin’s steps, telling his life story and visiting the places and people who were influenced by Ruskin and his profoundly important ideas on art, work, the environment, education and welfare. Ruskin’s vision has new importance in the age of YouTube and Instagram, and his radical ideas have fresh relevance to how we run our lives, our governments, our museums, our schools and our companies.
This talk was held at Millennium Gallery in Sheffield as part of Off the Shelf Festival of Words 2019.
