Research Records #25 Professor Marie Kinsey Interviews Dr Mike Weir

The podcast exploring Sheffield academic's professional and personal journeys alongside their own soundtrack to academic adventure.

Research Records is a monthly podcast hosted by Professor Marie Kinsey (Journalism) and Professor Tony Ryan OBE (Chemistry) from The University of Sheffield. Each month they are joined by esteemed guests from The University of Sheffield (and occasionally further afield) for a lively and engaging chat about their personal and professional journey alongside their own soundtrack to academic adventure, all over the course of about an hour.

Inspiration for Life was set up in memory of Tim Richardson, who began the 24 hour Inspire - a lecture marathon featuring back to back half hour talks on well, life, the universe and everything.

It’s fitting that today’s guest was closely involved in Inspiration for Life before ending up as the charity’s treasurer. Mike Weir is himself a physicist now working at the University of Nottingham in the School of Physics and Astronomy and specialising in polymers.
