In this film, Dr Crosby Stevens and Professor Phil Withington from the Department of History describe how they worked with English Heritage, a theatre director, actors, literature scholars, and an architect, to explore the connections between Bolsover Castle and The New Inn, a comedy of 1629 by the poet and dramatist Ben Jonson, recreating an abridged version of the play at Festival of the Mind 2022.
