It’s OK to Be Naked – Podcast
Olly Newton, Executive Director at educational charity The Edge Foundation talks to performer Tim Norwood, psychologist Dr Nicola Buckland and psychotherapist Claire Wood about nudity, body image and mental health.
About the project
Theatre-maker Tim Norwood teamed up with Dr Nicola Buckland (Department of Psychology) to produce a one-man show that used storytelling, gentle humour and stripping to explore our relationship with our bodies and to challenge misconceptions about body image.
Tim and Nicola also brought in a counsellor specialising in eating disorders to make sure the show was as constructive and supportive as possible and to provide aftercare for anyone affected by the themes. Please be aware the show features nudity and is suitable for over-18s only.
Tim and Nicola would like to thank Claire Wood and Dr Emily Matheson for their support and input.
