How CLEAR IDEAS Helps Organisations Innovate

Organisations see creative thinking as an increasingly important skill for their leaders and employees to have. Here we show how our research-based creativity training method is helping others thrive.

Organisations, communities and groups are facing increasing pressures to continually innovate in order to survive and flourish. But how do you keep coming up with truly original new ideas? What levers can you use to make sure your ideas turn into successful new products, services and processes? Extensive research on these issues conducted at the University of Sheffield led to the development of the CLEAR IDEAS (CI) creativity and innovation training model in 2005. The CI model helps you to become more skilled at both generating and putting into practice new ideas at work.

Hundreds of organisations from public, private and third sectors have now taken part in our CI training workshops and events. Our evaluations show that resulting innovations can significantly help improve their organisational efficiency and performance. In this short video, Professor Kamal Birdi explains how the CI model and the training works. You can also see one of our workshops in action and hear the experiences of a participant.
