Gendered Experiences of Mesothelioma

This short animation outlines the differences experienced by male and female patients living with mesothelioma, a cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Their journey from diagnosis, through treatment to seeking compensation, can be influenced by gendered perceptions of healthcare and legal professionals.
Based on analysis of a large data set and qualitative interviews the animation explores some of the complexities around gender, age and occupational risk and the differences of gendered experiences.
