The Julia Garnham Centre (JGC) is a unique NHS badged genomics facility in equal partnership with the Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, designed to help reduce NHS backlogs in cancer and rare diseases while training the next generation of leaders in the field of genomics.
The JGC is named after and inspired by Julia Garnham, a beloved geneticist who dedicated over 30 years to developing clinical laboratory processes and helping others at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
This film explores how the JGC has cultivated a strong sense of community, inspiring and motivating students as they gain real-world genomics experience, improve patient outcomes and enhance their employability.
